Book Publishing—from Start to Finish, Fiction or Non-Fiction

You have choices, a publisher or self-publishing, With a publisher, you have to follow their guidelines and the contract may or may not be to your liking with a royalty of about 10% with a low marketing budget. You have another option with self-publishing through Amazon at a 70% royality or going it on your own website (100% profit minus expenses).

Self-publishing also offers print on demand. You carry no inventory (no big print run stored in your basement), but you bare the costs of production (book cover, marketing, etc).
