Dale Lutes knows health is wealth
Protect health at all costs or all is lost
That's right. I love writing, rhyming, and health. I toss these these three ingredients together, creating unique recipies, crazy concoctions and gourmet delights with the written word. Friends accuse me of being a health nut guru who would rather spend Friday night reading books about health and eating nuts in the library than going out and about. I am an activist at heart, passionate about health-care, social issues, righting wrongs and making the world equitable. Tackling serious issues with serious words is my modus operandi. When all this serious stuff becomes too much, I take a much needed break and write about fun things, knowing that being serious all the time hurts health. When my pen hits the page, it almost dances across the paper as a song starts singing lyrics in my brain. The pen never stops until I drop or the page is filled to perfection.
Background of Dale Lutes
I am a writer who was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, grazing the pastures of Northern Ontario. After deciding farming was not my calling, I spent most weekends in the public library, devouring books, treasuring my library card like a rare precious gemstone. I longed to travel the world and books fulfilled this dream, transporting me to far off places every weekend while infusing my mind with knowledge.
I followed in my mother's footsteps, crying when I left high school. Books and education meant everything, the most valuable commodity imaginable. I spent the next two decades travelling to various universities, fulfulling two dreams at the same time, travel and education. Academia became my home and I was intent on climbing the ladder of success.
Illness and two near-death experiences interrupted my career, as the ladder of success crumbled under my feet. Searching for a cure, an elixir to health, opened the door to a whole new world of knowledge. Like a kid in a candy store, I sampled diverse modalities including Reiki, color therapy, thought field therapy, therapeutic touch, image code healing, medical intuition, herbs, tinctures, TCM and acupuncture. Aware of the vast potential for healing, I read every book on alternative, integrative and functional medicine I could get my hands on and studied herbal medicine and iridology.
